We were invited a couple of weeks ago by Robin's half sister to come to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. And it has been so fun! I've never been down here before, and it's really pretty. It was once a river, and then they put in a dam, so that made it a lake, the history is actually pretty cool. It's been a really fun weekend though.
We got here late Friday night, unpacked the car and sat around talking for a while. Saturday we went and saw some castle ruins (the only castle ruins in MO), unfortunately I didn't get any pictures.. None of them turned out right. :( But it was really cool! When we got back to the condo, we played a little bit of pit, which is an awesome game, and we got really loud. It was really fun! Then later on that night, we went go-karting, which was AWESOME!!! There were 12 people on the track (9 being our party), so it was lots of fun! Then we went and got ice cream, which I didn't need, but I got it anyway.. By the way, next week I will be working out A LOT to work off all that I've eaten this weekend.. ;) And today we went to a museum, and then we went mini-golfing, which I completely suck at. And pretty soon Robin, her half-sister, and I will be going to the outlet mall. After that, we'll be heading back home. Which I'm not really looking forward to, seeing as how I have to write a couple papers, and I have a final tomorrow, but I am so glad I got this little break, it was much needed.
And Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! I'm so grateful for my mom, and all that she's done for me! I can't wait to see her on Thursday!! :)
